Christmas rose – her name says it all… A rose that blooms in the snow! Nectar and pollen of the Christmas rose represent the first nourishment for the bees. It is a robust and perennial flower, the first blooming spring flower. While skiing resort Nassfeld is still covered by snow by the end of February featuring great skiing conditions, down in the valley the first Christmas roses appear from the snow on sunny hillsides.
